Lakes Regional Park Fort Myers Florida a great photo op for photographers

This park is full of great photo opportunities.  300 Acres of land to roam around.  It includes a beautiful fragrant botanic garden, docks, paths a place to eat then get some ice cream and in addition bike, surrey, kayak and pedal boat rentals.

The train museum is very interesting as well.  If you go during Christmas you can take a ride on a mini train and enjoy the lights.  Otherwise the small tracks and train is still there for photos but only runs during the holidays.

Also, most of the year there is a Farmers Market.  Before or after your photo adventures you can buy some fresh fruits and vegetables among other items.  Grab a few pics of the great tropical fruits while your there.  Keep in mind this is also seasonal, it is open from October to April.  Even if you are here out of season it is still worth going to the park for the day.

You will need to pay for parking.  The machines are at the edges of the parking lots and it does accept cards.  You can pay by the hour or $5.00 for the day.  If you live in Lee County and have a Lee County Park Pass, Lakes Park is included on the list.

I enjoy going take photos of the gorgeous flowers.  Recently, on Mothers Day I had the opportunity to do just that. My son lives in another state and with my busy schedule time to "stop and smell the roses" (pun intended) was limited.

Having the chance to stroll around slowly and soak in the beauty was just what I needed.  It was also a cloudy day which is a perfect natural diffuser for the sun, and I even got in enough time before the rain poured down.

If you are in Fort Myers and love to photograph flowers this is a must.  From roses to cactus and wildflowers you will have it all.  The fragrance is so amazing that your mood will instantly be lifted.

Also be sure to  look for all kinds of birds, caterpillars, butterflies and the many lizards roaming around.

Whatever you decide to do at Lakes Regional Park it is sure to be a great day for you alone or with friends and family.
